Attractions:  
fly to Lhasa from Chengdu. The tour after arrive at Lhasa will include Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, and so on. Then drive to Yangpachen with hot spring. After that  visit the Tashi Lumpu Monastery in Shigatse. Then take a train back to Chengdu, visit Chengdu Panda Base, Dujiangyan Irrigation System, Wajiang Bamboo Park and Wenshu Temple.

 

Itinerary
 

Day 01: arrive in Chengdu                                                                                                                                        

Arrive in Chengdu where is the jumping-off point for the tour. You can ordain the remainder by yourself such as going out for a general idea of Sichuan. Also you can take a relaxation in the hotel and have a recovery from jet lag at night. (D)

 

Day 02: Chengdu-Lhasa                                                                                                                                           

We will meet you at Chengdu airport in the morning, then fly to Lhasa Gongar airport. Our local guide will pick up you at there and transfer to Lhasa City. On the road visit Stone Giant Buddha. In the afternoon firstly we will have a rest and recovery in this high altitude area. And overnight in Lhasa. (B/L/D)

 

Day 03: Lhasa                                                                                                                                                     
Today, our tour will be started with the world famous Potala Palace (excluded entry fee of sightseeing). This palace was built in 7th century during the Tang Dynasty for King Songtsan Gambo's wife Princess Wencheng. After that go on to visiting Jokhang Temple( the most famous and oldest building in Lhasa), Barkhore Street( the business center of Lhasa), having a general idea for Tibetan culture and life. Lastly, overnight in Lhasa. (B/L/D)

 

Day 04: Lhasa-Yangpachen- Lhasa

We will have a visit to Yangpachen all day long. Yangpacheng which is close to Namtso Lake is the earliest heat base to be developed. It's well known for the hot springs and mysterious hot water lake with a heat explosion unseen elsewhere. In the late afternoon we will go back to Lhasa. And overnight in Lhasa. (B/L/D)

 

Day 05: Lhasa-Shigatse

We will go through the turquoise Lake Yamdrok on the vast Tibetan Plateau. Yamdrok Lake situated in Lhoka area with an cover of 621 square km and the elevation of 4,441 m is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Also it is the largest lake on the northern slope of the Himalayas. On the way we can enjoy wonderful sightseeing and take pictures. Lastly we will arrive at  Shigatse by new road. (B/L/D) 

 

Day 06: Shigatse-Lhasa

Today, you will be arranged to visit Tashi Lumpu Monastery. And in the afternoon drive back to Lhasa. Then overnight in Lhasa. (B/L/D)

 

Day 07: Lhasa-Chengdu

Today we will take train T24 at 9:05 back to Chengdu. When the train drives on the Qinghai-Tibet plateau, you can see the rare species of plants and animals of Kekexili in this area. If you are lucky enough, Tibetan antelopes can be seen running along the railway. And we will drive across the part of Mt. Tanggula which is the highest place along the Qinghai-Tibet railway with about 5,072 meters' altitude. Then we are going to the highland meadow which covers a large area for pasture. And Namtso lake which situates between Amdo and Nagchu is the next attraction. Our eyes can enjoy a feast with the crystal blue water. But due to the long time journey by train we must overnight on the train. (B)

 

Day 08: Lhasa-Chengdu

We are still on the way back to Chengdu. However the scenery is different now. Along the railway we can have look of Sichuan Basin and the Yellow Earth plateau. 

 

Day 09: Chengdu

Arrive in Chengdu at 9:55 a.m. Then have a visit to Chengdu Panda Base meet lovely panda and have a further knowledge for them. Lastly overnight in Chengdu. (L/D)

 

Day 10: Chengdu

Today we will drive to Dujiangyan. It will cost about 1 hour. Then you can visit Dujiangyan Irrigation System, which is a great project made by old Chinese people. After lunch we will go back to Chengdu and overnight in Chengdu. (B/L/D)

 

Day 11: Chengdu                                                                                                                                                     
The last day in Chengdu we will have a Visit to Chengdu's Wangjiang Bamboo Park. Bamboo is panda's favorite. However the different kinds of bamboos planted in park is not for food but for view. Wenshu Temple is another destination, where is a famous Buddha temple in China.  At the same time we will do some shopping. After lunch go to airport. Then all services ends. (B/L)
