Zhongshan Relics

Situated at the top of the moutain behind Palkor Monastery in Jiangtze County, in Tibet, Zhongshan Relics is a historical site on which patriots in Tibet fighted againest the invaders of Britain in 1904.

In the mid of 1900s, British imperialism invaded into Tibet while enkindling wars along China Southeast Seas.In order to strike the rampant invaders, the Tibetan people and soldiers constructed emplacements and other infense installations along the slope of the moutain. During the 8-month -long cruel war, Tibetan people and soldiers took their broadswords, spears, bows and arrows as well as indigenous guns against British invaders armed with new type firearms.Most of the Tibetan people and soldiers died thanks to the shortage of food and ammunition during the war.Emplacement and Chongshan Relics remains up to the present.
