The Hebaling Mosque, located in the east part of Lhasa city, is the largest one in Lhasa. According to historical data, the mosque was built in the middle of
the 18 century. It was destroyed by fire. The present one was rebuilt in 1959.
The mosque consists of decorated archway, salat hall, Bangka building, bathroom, water room, school and garden. The salat hall faces east. It divides into inner palace, antechamber, a horizontal described board with the characters "Ancient Mosque" hangs on the wall. The garden lies to the west of the salat hall. There are full of locust trees, walnuts, apple trees, cypresses and flowers in it.
