Route: Chengdu-Lhasa-ShigatseDhingri-Mt. Everest-Dhinggri-Shigatse-Yangpachen-Lhasa-Chengdu-China 
Attractions: take a train to Lhasa from Chengdu, appreciate the scenery of Sichuan Basin and the Yellow Earth plateau by the way. The tour after arrive at Lhasa will include Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, and so on. Then drive to Shigatse along the south approach, en route visit Mt. Gangbala, Yamdrok Yumtso LakeThe next destination is Shigatse, en route visit Yamdrok Lake, Korala Glaciers, Tashilhunpo Monastery, Shigatse fair, and Lhokar - the Tibetan granary, Mt. Everest Nature, Ynagpachen with hot spring...Lastly fly back to Chengdu.  

Itinerary

Day 01: Chengdu-Lhasa                                                                                                                                                                                               We will meet at North railway station of Chengdu, taking T222 train to Lhasa. So we must spend night on the train.

Day 02: Chengdu-Lhasa                                                                                                                                                                                               We are still on the way to Chengdu. Along the way we can have look of Sichuan Basin and the Yellow Earth plateau. 

Day 03: arrive in Lhasa                                                                                                                                                                                            When the train drives on the Qinghai-Tibet plateau, you can see the rare species of plants and animals of Kekexili in this area. If you are lucky enough, Tibetan antelopes can be seen running along the railway. And we will drive across the part of Mt. Tanggula which is the highest place along the Qinghai-Tibet railway with about 5,072 meters' altitude. Then we are going to the highland meadow which covers a large area for pasture. And Namtso lake which situates between Amdo and Nagchu is the next attraction. Our eyes can enjoy a feast with the crystal blue water. Finally we arrive at Lhasa in the evening, but nothing to be worried we have booked the hotel in Lhasa for you.

Day 04: Lhasa

Today, our tour will be started at the world famous Potala Palace (excluded entry fee of sightseeing). This palace was built in 7th century during the Tang Dynasty for King Songtsan Gambo's wife Princess Wencheng. After that go on to visiting Jokhang Temple( the most famous and oldest building in Lhasa), do some shopping at Barkhore Street( the business center of Lhasa), having a general idea for Tibetan culture and life. And take some photoes along the side of Lhasa river. Lastly, overnight in Lhasa.

Day 09: Shigatse-Yangpachen                                                                                                                                                                                       Drive from Shigatse to Yangpachen, it is about 5 hours driving totally. En route tourists we will see the landscape of Brahmaputra, grassland and sand dune, visit Yarparchen geothermal power plant, enjoy a hot spring(30-50RMB/person). After that, drive back to Lhasa and overnight in Lhasa.

Day 10: Lhasa-Chengdu                                                                                                                                                                                          Go to airport and fly back to Chengdu. All service ends.

Notice: 1. From Lhasa-Shigatse, you will travel in a big Chinese group taking a van or tour bus but 4wd jeep will be offered from Shigatse to Mt.everest.

1.Transportation: One-way train ticket hard sleeper, one-way airfare Lhasa-Chengdu together with the air tax and fuel tax, private Toyota Land Cruiser 4500 Or same kind Jeep (Van like Toyota Haice or tour bus may be used from Lhasa to Shigatse for joint group since there are more passengers from Lhsa to Shigatse.)
2. Tour guide: Local Chinese-speaking tour guide.
3. Accommodation: 3 star hotel or similar class, but , accommodation is very pool at Xiegeer town and Rhongbuk monastery usually several persons share a room without separate bathroom.

Tibet Permit:
To travel to Tibet, you would need a valid Chinese visa & a special travel permit. Only those who join package tours are qualified to obtain the permit. 6.As we travel in Tibet area where the economy is much more backward than other places, the food alternative is limited, so we suggest you order food in local restaurants available yourself or take some solid food. Most of local restaurant can only offer the simple Sichuan and Tibetan dishes.
