Attractions: visit
the Stone Giant Buddha,
famous Potala Palace, Barkhore Street
in Lhasa, Palchoi Monastery and Yamdork, and Tashilumpo monastery
in Shigatse, go on jounery of Tingri village,
Rongbuk Monastery, then go to Pargutso,
Paryang,
Lake Manasarovar and Mt.Kailash,
Dacheng, Toling, Parka, go back to Lhasa by pass Paryang,
Pagutso, Lhatse. Lastly go back to Chengdu from Lhasa.
Itinerary
Day 01:
Chengdu-Lhasa
Meet at Chengdu airport in the morning, then fly to Lhasa. When arrive at
Lhasa Gongar airport, the local guide will pick up you and drive you to
Lhasa city, and visit the Stone Giant Buddha en route.
In the afternoon firstly we will have a rest and recovery in this high
altitude area. And overnight in Lhasa.

Day 02:
Lhasa
Today, our tour will
be started with the world famous Potala Palace (excluded
entry fee of sightseeing). And we must get up at about 8:00
am, after breakfast drive to there. The Potala Place was built in 7th
century during the Tang Dynasty for King Songtsan Gambo's
wife Princess Wencheng. We will finish out visit at about
12:30, after using lunch drive back to hotel have a rest. At approximate
15:00 drive to Jokhang Temple ( the most
famous and oldest building in Lhasa),
Barkhore Street ( the business center of Lhasa), having a
general idea for Tibetan culture and life. Lastly, at about
18:00 take the supper. The whole day's tour ends. And overnight
in Lhasa. (B/L/D)
Day 03: Lhasa-Shigatse
Drive to Shigatse and visit Palchoi
Monastery and Yamdork on the way. Yamdrok Lake
situated in Lhoka area with an cover of 621 square km and
the elevation of 4,441 m is one of the three holy lakes in
Tibet. Also it is the largest lake on the northern slope of
the Himalayas. On the way we can enjoy wonderful sightseeing
and take pictures. Lastly we will arrive at Shigatse.
In Shigatse we can visit Tashilumpo monastery.
Lastly overnight in Shigatse. (B/L/D)
Day 04: Shigatse-Tingri
Drive to the old Tingri village, and stay at there for a
beautiful night. (B/L/D)
Day 05: Tingri
Drive to Rongbuk Monastery and trek about 7KM (per your body condition) to EBC (the Everest Base Camp), explore around EBC and Rongbuk Monastery, last to Tingri for night. (B/L/D, ready-food for lunch)
Day 06:
Tingri-Pargutso
Drive to Pargutso for nigtht. (B/L/D)
Day 07:
Paryang
Drive to Paryang for night. (B/L/D)
Day 08:
Paryang-Lake Manasarovar and Mt.Kailash
Drive to Lake Manasarovar and Mt.Kailash for night. (B/L/D)
Mt. Kailash is in the far west of Tubet, it is the most sacred mountain in Asia,
which is venerated by Buddhists, Hindus, Jains and the ancient Bon religion of
Tibet. From it flows four great rivers - the Karnali, the Indus, the Sutlej and
the Brahmaputra - which drain the vast Tibetan Plateau and provide most of
the water supply to south and east Asia. Mt. Kailash is an important site
for Buddhist and Hindu pilgrims.
Day 09:
Lake Manasarovar and Mt.Kailash
Tour in Lake Manasarovar and Mt.Kailash, overnight in Dachen area. (B/L/D)
Only 30 km from Mt. Kailash is the important pilgrimage site, the beautiful
and serene Lake Manasarovar. According to Hindu writing it was formed in the
mind of Brahama. Pilgrims can also be seen circumambulating this lake, a
disrance of 90 km.
Day 10:
to Dachen
Tour in Lake Manasarovar and Mt. Kailash, overnight in Dachen area. (B/L/D)
Day 11:
to Toling
Drive to Toling from Mt. Kailash. (B/L/D)
Day 12:
Toling
Visit in Guge Kingdom. The Guge Kingdom is famous for sculptures,
murals and stone inscriptions. (B/L/D)
Day 13:
Toling-Parka
Drive to Parka for night. (B/L/D)
Day 14:
Parka-Paryang
Drive to Paryang for night. (B/L/D)
Day 15:
Paryang-Pargutso
Drive to Pargutso for night. (B/L/D)
Day 16:
Pargutso-Lhatse
Drive to Lhatse for night. (B/L/D)
Lhatse is a small town of a few thousand people in Tibet, just West of the
mountain pass leading to Shigatse. There is a monastery on the outskirts of
the town and an old fort not far distant. And Buddhist festivals are
sometimes held at the monastery, drawing inhabitants from the surrounding
region.
Day 17:
Lhatse-Lhasa
Drive to Lhasa for night. (B/L/D)
Day 18:
Lhasa
This day you can arrange the timetable by yourself. And overnight in
Lhasa. (B)
Day 19: Lhasa-Chengdu
Lhasa-Chengdu. (B)
