Route: Beijing-Xining-Qinghai-Ge'ermu-Tuotuo river-Nakchu-Lhasa-Gyangtse-Shigatse-Lhasa-Beijing-China
Attractions: fly to Xining visit the Ta'er Monastery and Qinghai lake, next go to Ge'ermu, and go to Tuotuo River visit the first bridge of Yangtze river from Kunlun mountain, go on to visit Tanggula mountain and the grassland in the northern Tibet. In Lhasa have a tour in Yangpachen with hot spring, and visit Sera Monastery, Norbulingka Park, Tibetan family, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor street, Tibet Museum and so on. Then leave Lhasa for Gyangtse visit Yamdrok Yumtso Lake, Karda Snow Mountain, Palkhor monastery and Gyangtse old street. Lastly, come back to Lhasa on the way visit Tashilhunpo Monastery and the New Palace of Panchen. 

 

Itinerary

 

Day 01: Beijing-Xining

Take plane to Xiling and transfer to hotel. (L)

 

Day 02: Xining-Qinghai Lake

Today we will go to Ta'er monastery and Qinghai lake. Spend night in the hotel. (B/L/D)

Ta'er monastery is a famous Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Qinghai Province, which was renovated recently, restoring it to its former glory. Hoping to be the first worshippers to the lamasery after its renovation, pilgrims of different ethnic groups came from near and far.
Qinghai lake is a salt lake situated in the province of Qinghai, and the largest lake in China. It is located about 100km west of the provincial of Xinning at 3,205 m above sea level in a depression of the Tibetan Plateau in the former Tibetan Plateau of Amdo. Twenty-three rivers and streams empty into Qinghai lake. Drive to Ge'ermu.

 

Day 03: Qinghai-Ge'ermu

You can enjoy the Gobi Scenery on the way. Later go to hotel. (B/L/D) 

 

Day 04: Ge'ermu-Tuotuo River

Drive to Tuotuo river and transfer to the hotel. Visiting the First Bridge of Yangtze river from Kunlun mountain. (B/L/D)

Tuotuo river is the source of the Yangtze Ricer, originates from the glaciers of the Jianggendiru Snow Mountain located at the southwestern side of the highest Geladandong Peak in the Tanggula Moutain Range. 

 

Day 05: Tuotuo River-Nakchu

Go on journey to Nakchu. Firstly check into hotel and then visit the Tanggula Mountain which is located on the Tibetan Plateau with its main ridge averaging more than 5,000 m as well as the Grassland in the northern of the Tibet. (B/L/D) 

 

Day 06: Nakchu-Lhasa
On the way to Lhasa visit Namtso Lake and the Yangpachen Geothermal Energy. Then transfer to the hotel with the dinner served. (B/L/D)
Namtso Lake is considered as one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Its purity are the symbol of Qinghai-Tibet plateau. In Tibetan, Namtso means "Heaven Lake". At the same time it is the highest altitude saltwater lake in the world. And Yangpachen is clear to it.

 

Day 07: Lhasa

We will  visit the magnificent Palace, the Sera Monastery, the Norbulingka Park and a Tibetan family in Lhasa. And the hotel will served the supper for you. (B/L/D) 

 

Day 08: Lhasa

Go on have a visit in Lhasa. Today we will go to Jokhang Temple, the thriving bazzar of the Barkhor street, the Tibet Museum, traditional medicine hospital and the Carpet Factoty. It is so interesting. And when all of the activities are over have supper in hotel. (B/L/D)

 

Day 09: Lhasa-Gyangtse

Transfer to Gyangtse and visit the Yamdrok Yumtso Lake and the Karola snow moutain on the way. As soon as arriving at Gyangtse check into hotel. Then go to visit the Palkhor Monastery and Gyantse old street. Later have dinner in the hotel. (B/L/D)

 

Day 10: Gyangtse

Drive to Shigatse. When arrive at there we will check into hotel firstly. Then go to visit Tashilunpo Monastery and the new Palace of Panchen. Have dinner in you hotel. (B/L/D)

Tashilunpo Monastery is located to the west of Shigatse, 280 km to the west of Lhasa city by paved road. It was built in 1447 by the 1st Dalai Lama, sho was the disciple of Tsongkakpa, the founder of the Gelug, or the "Yellow Sect". The monastery has been rebuilt and extended by the successive Panchen Lamas, and became the political and religious center. It was period. Now the monastery covers an area of 300 thousand square meters.

 

Day 11: Gyangtse-Lhasa

Drive back to Lhasa and transfer to the hotel. The hotel will serve dinner for you. (B/L/D)

 

Day 11: Gyangtse-Lhasa

Leave Lhasa for Beijing, all service ends. (B)
