Route: Chengdu-Lhasa-Yangpachen-Namtso-Palgon-Seraco-Palgonco-Shuanghu-Palgonco-Amdo-Nagchu-Lhasa-China
Attractions: fly to Lhasa from Chengdu, visit
Stone Giant Buddha, famous Potala Palace, Jokhan Temple, and Barkhore street, go on to Yangpachen with hot spring, then go to Namtso, Palgon, Seraco, Shuanghu. Lastly go back to Lhasa by pass Palgonco, Amdo, Nagchu.

 

Itinerary

 

Day 01: Chengdu-Lhasa

Meet at Chengdu airport in the morning. Then fly to Lhasa Gongar airport. As soon as you arrive at airport our local guide will pick up you at there and transfer to Lhasa City. On the road visit Stone Giant Buddha. In the afternoon firstly we will check into hotel and have a rest and recovery in this high altitude area. And overnight in Lhasa. (L/D)

 

Day 02: Lhasa

Today, our tour will be started with the world famous Potala Palace (excluded entry fee of sightseeing). And we must get up at about 8:00 am, after breakfast drive to there. The Potala Place was built in 7th century during the Tang Dynasty for King Songtsan Gambo's wife Princess Wencheng. We will finish out visit at about 12:30, after using lunch drive back to hotel have a rest. At approximate 15:00 drive to Jokhang Temple ( the most famous and oldest building in Lhasa), Barkhore Street ( the business center of Lhasa), having a general idea for Tibetan culture and life. Lastly, at about 18:00 take the supper. The whole day's tour ends. And overnight in Lhasa. (B/L/D)

 

Day 03: Lhasa-Yangpachen-Namtso

We will cost the whole day to Yangpanchen. It is close to Namtso Lake. In Yangpanchen the earliest heat base has been developed. There are many hot springs and mysterious hot water lake with a heat explosion unseen elsewhere. In the afternoon go on to Namtso and overnight in there. (B/L/D)

 

Day 04: Namtso-Palgon
Namtso Lake is considered as one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Its purity are the symbol of Qinghai-Tibet plateau. In Tibetan, Namtso means "Heaven Lake". At the same time it is the highest altitude saltwater lake in the world.
After the visit in Namtso we will go on journey to Palgon. Overnight in Palgon. (B/L/D)

 

Day 05: Palgon-Seraco

Leave Palgon to Seraco. (B/L/D)

 

Day 06: Seraco

There are many lakes in Seraco, you can enjoy this rare gift by God. (B/L/D)

 

Day 07: Seraco-Palgonco

Leave Seraco to Palgonco. (B/L/D)

 

Day 08: Seraco-Palgonco

On the way to Palgonco. (B/L/D)

 

Day 09: Palgonco

Appreciate lakes. (B/L/D)

 

Day 10: Palgonco-Shuanghu

Leave Palgonco to Shuanghu. Shuanghu district is a small county within the Nagch prefecture of the Tibet autonomous region. (B/L/D)

 

Day 11: Shuanghu

In Shuanghu look for the trace of wild animals. (B/L/D)

 

Day 12: Shuanghu

In Shuanghu look for the trace of wild animals. (B/L/D)

 

Day 13: Shuanghu

In Shuanghu look for the trace of wild animals. (B/L/D) 

 

Day 14: Shuanghu-Palgonco

Go back to Palgonco. (B/L/D)

 

Day 15: Palgonco-Amdo

Amdo is one of the three traditional provinces of Tibet. Amdo encompasses a large area from the Yellow River. Amdo is the home of many important Tibetan Buddhist monks, scholars who major influence on both politics and religious development. (B/L/D)

 

Day 16: Amdo-Nagchu-Lhasa

Go back to Lhasa on the way of Nagchu. (B/L/D)

 

Day 17: Lhasa

Your tour in Tibet ends, today you will leave Tibet. (B)
