Office held the press conference on the problem of tourism in Tibet. At the news
conference the deputy secretary of the Tibet autonomous regional tourism bureau
said, Tibet would restore the international tourism formally in June 25.
Since the “3.14” incident of violent occurred in Lhasa, on the consideration of
safety, the Tibet prefecture suspended from the team travel to receive business
activities in a period. But during this time, in support of the relevant
department, the destruction of the tourist infrastructure has been repairing. So
Tibet is ready to receive tourists at home and abroad.
The foreigners could go to Lhasa by individual or join a group. And the classic
travel routes such as Shigatse, Nyingchi, Mt. Everest will be open as before. At
